Some services are not covered by the NHS and therefore attract charges that you will have to pay:

 

Examples include:

• Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)

• Insurance claim forms

• Prescriptions for taking medication abroad

• Private sick notes

• Vaccination certificates

• Letters about a medical condition
   

The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) recommendations.
Our receptionists can advise you of the cost for these.

General letters about conditions are not covered by the NHS, and attract charges associated with the relevant time taken for their completion. Many issues do not strictly require a letter from your GP.

Ear Syringing

Ear wax removal is not available any longer under the NHS
It is not possible to book into the treatment room for ear syringing
You can seek treatment via your local chemist who can advise you further - see here for dealing with ear wax yourself

There are local providers who provide ear wax removal services, but these are not linked to the practice
