SELF REFERRING
Many health services now accept self-referrals, so you can see the right professional, faster.
The links below demonstrate the range of services that are available without needing to speak to a GP first. Due to exceptional demand on GP time, we recommend you use these services wherever possible. These are the same services the GP would refer you to.
For simple urinary tract infections in women, sore throats and emergency contraception, the pharmacy can prescribe treatments to help with these (where necessary) the same as a GP.
